Automatic address assignment system
This symbol indicates easy configuration. All RailBOX products with this symbol on the board or such a sticker on the housing enable two-way communication (Railcom® protocol) with control units with a Railcom® receiver:
-
Automatic detection of new decoders connected to the tracks and the ability to automatically determine the decoder address (only with RB1110)
-
Possibility to read and write configuration variables at any time on the main track (PoM)
Owners of RailBOX decoders with the symbol and Central RB1110 no longer have to bother with setting addresses for accessory decoders and RailBOX wagons and locomotives, all you need to do is connect a new device to the tracks and the system will automatically find another free address and assign it to the decoder. After that, a new locomotive or accessories with an address already set will automatically appear in the RailBOX: Railroad Control application. In the case of semaphores, all you need to do is move them to the appropriate place on the map in the RailBOX: Railroad Control application.

Everything described above is based on the new DCC standard, so in theory it should be compatible with other control units supporting this standard.
