DCC Booster
Application
The DCC Booster is designed to amplify the DCC control signal in model railway layouts and, in the RB1212 version only, enables implementation of an automatic block system (ABS) on track sections connected to the booster.
The booster is equipped with a LocoNet® interface, which allows transmission of track occupancy status and locomotive decoder address information from connected sections to the command station.
The booster also supports the RailCom® protocol, enabling bidirectional transmission of data from decoders back to the command station.
Main Features
• Two DCC signal input options: via the LocoNet® interface or via the DCC IN track input connection.
• Auto-restart function after short circuit (behavior configurable via CV 140).
• External push-button input for local Start/Stop control or for sending a command to the command station (configuration via CV 117).
• Independent track power control (Start/Stop) using the onboard push-button, with optional automatic synchronization with the command station status.
• Automatic Block System (ABS) for two tracks (RB1212 only).
• Integrated track occupancy detector and RailCom receiver for transmitting occupancy status and locomotive address to the command station via the LocoNet® interface.
• Configuration via PoM (Programming on Main) using locomotive address 9999.
• Three LocoNet® connectors:
– connection of the booster to the command station via the LocoNet®-B bus– direct connection of throttles (e.g., PIKO or FRED) (RailBOX command stations only)– connection of additional boosters or system modules
• Firmware update capability via the RB1110 command station (RB121X models only)
